Hailed as a “prodigiously gifted composer and virtuoso pianist,” James Fernando creates music that lies at the intersection of jazz, classical, and electronic music. He relies on his genre-expanding original compositions to deliver thought provoking and exciting performances on some of the world’s most renowned stages. The Berklee College of Music graduate has five albums to his name and has collaborated with award winning artists internationally. James is on faculty at Levine Music in Washington, D.C. and has served as a Strathmore Artist in Residence. Annual Empty Bowls Event Tuesday, March 11, 2025, 11am-1pm. at the N&M Plaza (between the Student Services and Sizer buildings) @ SPC. CAC Ceramists create food-safe bowls and CAC Culinary Arts serves a simple meal of soup and bread to represent soup kitchen meals. Choose a bowl to use and keep as a reminder that there are always empty bowls in the world. Please bring $15 CASH for a ceramic bowl and a bowl of soup. There will also be soft beverages and desserts included. Proceeds benefit local food banks.
